We are so excited to be a part of our first Sew Mama Sew Giveaway day. After learning about this awesome event last year and entering in over a hundred giveaways myself I knew we had to do it. Apropriately, we are giving away some eco-friendly dog stuff, so here's what you get.
The trifecta of handmade dog toys!
Organic cotton squeaker dog bone
I make these guys for my eco-friendly dog barkery, more details about the upcoming etsy shop and craft fairs to come. They are sewn from super tough organic cotton canvas, and stuffed with more organic cotton. Definitely strong enough for tougher chewer.
Upcycled sock bunny squeaker toy
These guys are for a dog with a softer mouth. They're made from fun socks that I pick up at Goodwill and other second hand places. Just tryin to keep more stuff outa the landfill.
Upcycled sock pig squeaker toy
This little guy is also for a softer chewer and great for a pint sized pal to squeak.
They even have cute little feet nubs hand sewn into the belly.

#11 Sew Flippin Cool - We have two doggies and one I'm afraid is on his last legs. The other one could certainly use a toy or two to help with the transition.

Hi Anita! We don't have a dog, but spend a lot of time with my uncle's dog Bob (Bobbsy, Mr. Bobbins, Bobbington...) It was my uncle's birthday yesterday and there is nothing Bob loves more than helping you unwrap your presents. He very gently peels off the wrapping with his teeth, holding the present in his paws (with permission, of course) but once it's off it becomes confetti!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, my girls would love these toys! I have two small chihuahua mixes. The older one will be nine this year. She loves to play with her stuffed Roo.
ReplyDeleteKatie still has toys from when she was just a wee little puppy (4 years ago)... she is so gentle with her things. She also almost every week has a toy favorite that she brings everywhere with her. Adorableness!
ReplyDeleteI am a happy follower!! I also wanted to say that I love the eco-upcycling of these toys. You should do a short tutorial so we can all make some!
ReplyDeleteSomething fun about my dog. Hmm. He thinks he's a 75+ pound cat? He is the most lovable and tolerant dog ever - he's so gentle and sweet with my boys.

ReplyDeleteI'm going with my sister to meet her new puppy next week. This would be very fun to give little Levi.
ReplyDeleteMy pups look at me at some point in the middle of the day and when I ask what, they (the three) start barking then howling. They decide when it is I need a break and do their best to cajole me into goofing off.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet boy Blitz just went to "the farm" this week. My little girl, Sasha the German Shepherd, misses him so very much. She would love love some new toys to keep her company and give her a reason to not be so mopey. Something fun about Miss Sasha is she is an all terrain dog. She loves to climb mountains like a billy goat!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the opportunity to win

My labradoodle loves chewing on my kids toys so i'd love something that is hers instead.
Our dog is a terror and I would have a hard time actually giving him the toys. He usually destroys all his toys within 10 minutes. Also the mail every day when it comes through the slot. He is a Dorkie (Dachshund/Yorkie mix). He does do well not ripping up the children's toys though!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!perfect for my 7 month old yorkie poo. every time he runs away, you know he got into something, like socks! (his favorite) ;)
ReplyDeleteI am now a new follower, and excited!
ReplyDeleteMy dog sleeps on her back. She's such a weirdo!

You don't want to get me started talking about my dogs. One of my dogs lays on my daughters bed and watches out the window, everyone knows shes there and people wave to her as they walk by. One day the neighbor across the street waved to her and did a little soft shuffle. Great dog T.V.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's dog, Dubs, is an escape artist. Last week, when all other escape routs had been taken care of, her climbed the tree, and jumped over the fence into the alley! Crazy little guy.
ReplyDeleteThatcher, one of my two labs, will stand under your hand and move her head back and forth to get you to pet her...you don't even have to move! LOL! jinglesells at gmail dot com

ReplyDeleteMy Davey would love these toys! He's a 3-legged dachshund who loves to play fetch!
ReplyDeleteI have 5 dogs, two Maltese and two pomeranians and one Malti-Pom. The Malti-Pom is the designated ear washer for the other dogs, or so she thinks.... Our one Maltese is her because we had her mother and when the pup was born and went for first vet visit they said her heart was really bad PDA Heart and she might not live to be 6 months... we kept taking her back for her next shot and her next and then her rabies and the vet said we didn't have to as she was really bad... We said she would have a home with us and be pampered until she left us... she is still here and it is 10 years from her first appt. the vets are amazes every year when they listen to her heart... She is just fine with no complications at all...we never told her she was sick and we didn't treat her any different then the other dogs and she is doing just fine...
ReplyDeleteI don't have any dogs, but my sister has two funny little dogs. They are so small that they share a basket at night and they are in love with an old pair of my sister's flannelette pyjamas, which they keep in their basket, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!

My girls would love these! I have two husky mixes 5yrs and 7yrs old and they are just a joy to have around. River the 5yr old likes to roll on top of her toys and sleep upside down and Wynnie the 7yr old is like the energizer bunny. :)

ReplyDeleteOh, our dogs would love these! Here's our breakdown:
ReplyDeleteUrlacher - Lab mix, my baby! The 60 pound lap dog
Alfred - A stray that came up our street July 4th. He's small but mighty
And Sinatra - Almost 16 years old, partially deaf and blind beagle, but still going strong!
Thanks for the chance!

My Mr. Moose Pants would tear these apart, but my friend Lee just got a new pup who is named Levi and that pup needs toys. This would be wonderful for him.
I am a new follower. by the way Mr. Pants is a120lb rottweiler, and levi is a 2 lb shizu.
ReplyDeleteMy cross bred hound loves to chase. He would go all day if he got the chance. I'm still working on how to get him to come back when I want him to rather than when he feels like it. On a positive note, he gets me out walking which I'm told is doing me good- wish I had his energy though!
ReplyDeleteI have two dogs, a lab/springer mix and we recently just got a pitbull. They're both adorable and sweet as pie and would love these toys! I guess a fun story about the new dog would be that he hasn't learned the concept of fetch yet. So, when we are playing with the two we have to have two objects to throw. The lab will bring it back and drop it at your feet to throw again, but the pitbull will just keep it in his mouth while you throw the other object and try to fit both in his mouth (which sometimes he manages to do)!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Tallulah Mae, my darling girl, is totally insane (in a good way!). She's named after Tallulah Bankhead and Mother Maybelle Carter. When you say "Ghost Radar" she turns her head! She loves coffee, but only with milk. I'm giving away vintage sewing supplies on my blog, Foziewisp. Please stop by! And thanks!
