Well its that time of year again at Rhinestone Beagle to start thinking about Halloween and specifically our third annual
Howl-oween Tricks & Treats Craftathon.
Wanna check out previous craftathons?
Who wore it best? Sadie goes for the "smise" straight on shot. |
We are looking for a few good great crafters, that's you, to share their own Halloween tutorials as guest posts during the marathon. Kelly and I don't want to hog the spotlight but we will each be doing a couple posts as well. You can do anything from scary snacks and creepy costumes, to trick-or-treating trinkets, disturbing decor or even a spooky short story. Simple to complex, anything goes. We just ask that it's a you-original creation or at least a fresh take on an old favorite. Need some inspiration? Click on this link for an index of the first two years or you can hit any of our tagged posts about halloween. Sound frightening? We hope so! (It is Howl-oween after all.)
Sprout prefers to add props to her photo shoots for higher impact. |
So if you're passionate about Halloween like we are, or if you just have a spectacularly spooky idea you want to share, here’s what you do.
- Send a quick email to rhinestonebeagle@gmail.com letting us know you want to participate before September 9th with your name, a brief description of your craft and your blog url.
- Then get started on your tute. We will need you to have the finished post emailed to us by Sept 28th. That way we have time to work out any kinks that may arrise.
- Don't forget to take lots of pictures detailing your process and in true RB fashion if you have a dog please try to include them in one of your pics along the way. We will also accept pics of any other animal friends if you have, be they furry, scaley, feathery, or of the smooth hide variety.
Of course since it's Howl-oween we will be doing some "treating" for the participants so there will be
3 great giveaways,
just for the crafters that sign up!
Thanks so much and don’t forget to stop by for our weekly linky party, Doggone Dirty Craftin, every Thursday!
Craft on!
Anita
